Good to know
Website privacy.
An explanation of this information website. A separate privacy policy will be needed before the ActivBuds member service launches.

1. Browsing this website
The website does not offer account registration, collect beta sign-ups, process payments or request device location. Its pages load images, styles and scripts from the website itself. The website code does not add advertising trackers, analytics cookies or third-party font services.
The hosting server may keep ordinary request logs, which can include your IP address, requested page, time and browser information. Hosting and log-retention settings are separate from the website code.
2. Contacting the project
The Message panel prepares an email draft locally in your browser. It does not submit your details to a website server or save them in browser storage. You review the draft and choose whether to open your email app and send it.
Email links open your email application. A message is sent only when you choose to send it. Your email service and the recipient’s email service handle that communication. Your message may include your name, email address and anything else you choose to provide.
Please include only what is needed for your enquiry. Do not send passwords, identity documents, sensitive medical information or precise live locations. Enquiries are used to respond and discuss the topic you raise; this website does not automatically subscribe you to marketing.
3. External links
When you follow an external link, the destination’s privacy practices apply. This website does not embed social feeds, advertising widgets or videos from other services.
4. Access, correction and concerns
For questions about an enquiry you have sent, or to request access, correction or deletion of the personal information associated with it, contact ActivBuds. We may need information to confirm the request relates to you. Legal obligations may affect what can be deleted.
If you have a privacy concern, describe it without including unnecessary sensitive information so we can address it. Information about Australian privacy rights and complaints is available from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
5. Before the app launches
Member profiles, messages, location permissions, moderation records and account deletion will require a separate, reviewed privacy policy. This website notice does not authorise collection of those records. Hosting, providers, retention and access controls must be reviewed before a public beta.
