About Us
A simple idea, with room to grow.
Founded by Michael Smith in Australia, ActivBuds began as FitBuds: a way to find company for fitness. That idea grew because the same need exists well beyond the gym.
From a walking companion to a tennis partner, we’re building a way for adults to connect through shared interests and make more time for the things they enjoy.
Shared interests. Real-world connection.
Beginner, intermediate or advanced, everyone has a different pace, schedule and ambition. Our aim is to help people find compatible company for sport, hobbies, practice and everyday adventures.
Privacy, choice and mutual consent guide the design. ActivBuds is intended for adults aged 18 and over.
Our safety principles
Building the foundations carefully.
ActivBuds is in development. Public accounts, discovery and messaging are not yet available. The next goal is a carefully scoped Australian beta after safety and privacy reviews.
Our sister project, StudyBuddys, applies the idea to learning. It remains a separate product with its own community and data boundaries.
